Logansport Community School Corporation Job Description : This position will lead a self-contained classroom serving students with disabilities.
The special education teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized instruction aligned with students' IEPs in a supportive, structured environment.
The role includes academic instruction, behavior management, functional skills training, and collaboration with related service providers and families
Job Requirements : Plan and deliver instruction based on IEP goals and Content Connectors
Modify curriculum and differentiate instruction
Collect data to monitor student progress
Help develop and implement behavioral supports and interventions
Supervise and provide direction to classroom support staff
Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
Create a safe, structured environment that promotes learning and self-regulation
Job Qualifications : Indiana Mild and/or Intense Special Education Teaching license
Experience working in a specialized classroom for students with disabilities
Knowledge in creating and implementing IEP's
Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law
