Special Education Teacher – Philadelphia (RF: 3175)

We are currently seeking two certified Special Education Teachers for full-time positions working with students in the Philadelphia, PA area for the school year. One teacher will support students in an Emotional Support (ES) setting, and the other will work with students in an Autistic Support (AS) setting. Both positions will begin at the start of the school year and continue through June . Eligible candidates must be certified in Special Education in Pennsylvania and possess current, up-to-date clearances.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (K12 or appropriate grade band)
Must have a Bachelors degree (at minimum)
Must have current, up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances: FBI Fingerprints

Mandated Reporter Training
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students in either Emotional or Autistic Support programs
Modify instructional strategies and materials to meet the diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students
Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student independence and success
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, support staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion
Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals using data-driven decision-making
Provide behavior management support and implement positive behavior intervention plans (PBIS/FBAs) as needed
Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes emotional regulation, communication, and functional academic skills
