Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated SPED Special Education Teacher Essential Academics (Middle School) to support students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom setting. This position involves developing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and collaborating with a team to ensure academic success.
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs
Develop and implement IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
Modify and adapt curriculum to meet various learning styles
Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers
Manage student behavior and maintain a structured classroom environment
Use data to drive instruction and assess student progress
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student performance
Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate on student goals
Use educational technology and tools to enhance learning
Fulfill all professional and administrative responsibilities, including documentation and compliance tasks
Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
SPED Special Education certification (required)
ESL certification (preferred)
Strong understanding of IEP development and instructional modifications
Demonstrated competency in core academic subject areas
Passion for inclusive education and commitment to student success
