Details You Should Know: Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option) Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:05 am - 3:15 pm Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32.5 hours Start Date: August 11, 2025 End Date: May 23, 2026 Caseload: True Self Contained Classroom: A separate classroom within a school with students with moderate to severe disabilities who benefit from a more controlled and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities: Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Provide instruction in a variety of settings, including small group and one-on-one instruction. Monitor and assess students’ progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as needed. Manage classroom behavior and provide a positive, supportive learning environment. Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress with parents and school administrators. Attend and participate in meetings related to students' education, including IEP meetings.
