Job Posting: Onsite Special Education Teacher Waterbury, CT Area Company: Soliant Education Location: Waterbury, Connecticut Area Contract Dates: August 28, 2025 June 10, 2026 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week (hours may vary) Position Type: Onsite | Full-Time | Contract (2526 School Year) Pay Rate Range: $37 $45 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Caseload: This position serves a life skills self-contained elementary classroom. Candidates must have experience or a strong interest in working with students requiring moderate to intensive support in a structured setting. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Provide direct instruction and support to students with developmental disabilities. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Monitor and document student progress and adapt instruction as needed. Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions. Follow district protocols and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Special Education or related field. Valid Connecticut Department of Education Certification. Special Education Certification (SPED). Prior experience in a life skills or self-contained classroom is preferred.
