An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD) at an elementary school in Mount Vernon, KY. This full-time, contracted position is designed for the upcoming school year, with the academic term beginning on August 25th. The role focuses on providing specialized instruction to elementary-level students with diverse learning needs, primarily in the LBD category. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning and behavioral needs. Deliver effective, differentiated instruction to support academic growth and social-emotional development. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive learning environment. Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Manage classroom behavior proactively, employing techniques suitable for students with high behavioral needs. Desired Qualifications: Experience teaching students with Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD) at the elementary level. Strong classroom management skills, particularly with high-behavior caseloads.
