Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Dearborn, MI, focused on supporting K-2 students with special needs. This role involves managing a caseload of up to 18 students and working closely with young learners in an engaging elementary school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Holding and facilitating Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Writing and updating IEPs in accordance with student needs and compliance standards
  • Creating and managing your own schedule to efficiently service all assigned students
  • Delivering tailored educational instruction and support to K-2 students with diverse learning requirements

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher credentials appropriate for K-2 education
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws
  • Experience working with young children in a special education environment
  • Ability to develop individualized teaching plans and manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Location & schedule:

  • Based in Dearborn, Michigan
  • Full-time hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
