*Summary:* Responsible for planning and the preparation for the SMILE classroom activities. Acts in collaboration with teaching team, plans and implements the daily class lesson plan, assists with behavior management, co-teaches at centers/circle, and contributes observations on student progress.

*Duties and Responsibilities* include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Communicate daily/weekly with parents regarding their child. Develop and distribute monthly calendar of events.
* Hold formal parent conferences at least twice annually, and more frequently when deemed appropriate.
* Review each child’s IEP and sign for having been made aware of your responsibility. Implement IEP for each child in accordance with NY State Department of Education guidelines and update information 4 times per year.
* Write annual report for each child indicting process, current level of performance, and recommendations for future placement needs, including IEP goals.
* Advocate for a child by presenting reports at the CPSE or CSE meetings as scheduled by Home School District.
* With your Co-Teacher, evaluate performance of children in SMILE program in all areas of development, using formal and informal assessment tools, Maintains all files on each child to include developmental progress (portfolios, assessments, parent correspondence, documented behavior problems (FBA/BIP), and any other pertinent information (COR, T-CRS).
* Creation and implementation of the High Scope program using assessments and observations to inform small group lesson plans as well as participates fully in the program.
* Sets up daily classroom materials and integrates individualized education program goals into small group lesson plans.
* Per High Scope document key COR anecdotes to plan and maintain daily differentiated lesson planning.
* Contributes to a clean, attractive, stimulating, safe, and organized classroom as well as assists in maintaining the cleanliness of floors, bathrooms, toys, and carpets according to New York State Office of Children and Family Services regulations, Rochester Childfirst Network policies and procedures, and teaching pyramid model practices.
* Develops and maintains a positive rapport with parents and all Rochester Childfirst Network staff.
* Supports and enforces classroom and center policies.
* Adhere to and have knowledge of OCFS regulations; ratio, incident reports, supervision of children.
* Implements teaching pyramid practices to fidelity.
* Conducts monthly supervision of staff; reviewing performance of carrying out lesson plans, following teaching pyramid practices, engagement with children and contributing to a clean safe environment.
* Team planning and shared teaching responsibilities between teacher and assistants.
* Uses non-punitive methods of discipline, and offers guidance in a positive manner.
* Implement the use of PATHS curriculum for social and emotional development weekly.
* 10 Month Exempt Position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
