Provide academic, behavioral and functional support to preschool students with special needs. Maximize the learning experiences of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, and activities of daily living. Address students' specific needs Provide a safe and optimal learning environment. Participates in case conferences and assists in developing Individual Educational Plans for students. Complete assessments of students to assist in identifying learning issues. Recommend instructional strategies and develop corrective procedures. Assist in the implementation of IEP's and behavior management plans. Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record keeping. Work with a variety of disability areas. Work with classroom assistants to provide services via a collaborative approach preferred. Consult with district staff on IEP goals and best practice.
