An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary school students in Colchester, VT. This position is a contract role for the entire school year (NSY) and requires expertise in delivering tailored educational programs to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines Provide direct instruction and support for students with varying disabilities in the elementary setting Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote students academic and social development Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Participate in team meetings and professional development activities Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and best practices Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment Location: Colchester, Vermont (Elementary School) This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students learning and growth throughout the school year.
