We’re currently hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for the 2025–2026 school year in Cook County, IL. Position Details: Location: South Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:50 AM–3:20 PM
Dates: August 2025 – June 2026
Caseload: 10–12 students, Grades 9–12
Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Develop compliant, data-driven IEPs
Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with general educators, related services, and families
Track and report student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and school team planning
Requirements: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1)
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Prior experience working with high school-aged students preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
