Job Details:
Schedule:  Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) Setting:  Elementary or High School School Year:  August 11, 2025- May 21, 2026
Role Overview: A special education resource teacher creates and fosters learning environments for children with special learning requirements. They work with students who have special needs in their regular classroom or a separate, designated classroom. The role of the resource teacher is to assist the class teacher and to provide additional one-to-one support for children with moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct/indirect instructional support  in a positive, structured learning environment Adapt teaching methods  (e.g., multi-sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse needs Develop and implement IEPs , collaborating with parents, administrators, and related service providers Modify curricula  and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social-emotional, and functional growth Teach socially acceptable behaviors  using positive behavioral support systems Monitor progress  and communicate regularly with families to align priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree  in Special Education or related field Valid Colorado Special Education License
