Position Description: The goal of the RISE Program is to provide a small, flexible learning environment in order to re-engage students in the process of learning and successfully reintegrate students to their home school. We believe all students should be given the opportunity to learn in a safe and healthy environment. Many students learn differently. Many students have factors outside of school that affect their learning. We aim to provide students with the love, support, care and compassion they need to grow academically, socially and emotionally. The RISE program will offer students the opportunity to learn skills with functional applications that they can relate to their daily lives.

Student success is achieved through: Lower student-to-staff ratio Direct classroom instruction utilizing adaptive and alternative teaching methods Modified schedule Individual and small group Social Emotional Learning incorporated into core subject areas In-class completion of school work with adult help to maximize learning and eliminate the need for homework Hands-on learning activities that may include off-site experiences throughout the community

Certificaiton Required: Cross-categorical Special Education (1801) or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830)
