This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades 6-12 within a K-12 school setting in the San Antonio, TX area. The position requires delivering both push-in and pull-out instructional services to approximately 20 students and actively participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to support individualized education plans. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement effective push-in and pull-out strategies. Participate actively in ARD meetings, contributing insights, progress updates, and recommendations. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with Texas state guidelines. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Possession of a valid Texas Department of Education EC-12 Special Education teaching license. Prior experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential. Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students with diverse learning needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and district personnel. Schedule and Location: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM. Position located near Schertz, TX, within the San Antonio metropolitan area. Contracted for the school year. Benefits and Compensation: Hourly pay range of $38 to $43.
