A Special Education Teacher position is available to support elementary students in an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the current school year, working closely with students, families, and educational teams to meet individual learning needs. Location: Manteno, IL (Elementary School Setting) Duration: Current School Year (Contract) Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students specific learning goals and disabilities Utilize differentiated instruction strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to provide comprehensive support and ensure student progress Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, monitoring growth and adjusting plans accordingly Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages independence and social development Desired Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification/license for the state of Illinois Experience teaching elementary-aged students in special education settings Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families Commitment to advocating for equitable educational opportunities and outcomes This position offers the chance to contribute educational expertise in a supportive environment dedicated to student success.
