Seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in a K-12 public school setting in Fall River, MA. These full-time positions (37.5 hours per week) offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact through specialized programs designed to meet diverse student needs. The contract duration is for the upcoming school year. Positions available: Elementary level: RISE program (Kindergarten through 4th grade). This in-district program serves students with intellectual impairments and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), utilizing an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodology. Each classroom team comprises a special educator, educational assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and is supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Middle School level: Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) program (grades 5-7). This program supports students with emotional impairments through a therapeutic approach. Classrooms include one special educator, two educational assistants, and a dedicated School Adjustment Counselor. Key qualifications: Active Massachusetts Special Education Licensure required Experience working with students with intellectual impairments, ASD, or emotional impairments preferred Familiarity with ABA methodology and therapeutic education settings a plus Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students unique needs Collaborating with educational assistants, behavioral specialists, and counselors to provide comprehensive support Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as necessary Supporting a positive and inclusive classroom environment This role offers the chance to engage in meaningful work within a supportive team, focused on enhancing student growth and success.
