An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-12 within a dynamic educational environment located in Cambridge, MD. This onsite-only, short-term contract position for the upcoming school year focuses on delivering specialized instruction and collaborative co-teaching in an elementary setting.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels. Co-teach alongside general education teachers to provide inclusive learning experiences that promote academic growth and social development. Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with families and support staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of services and support strategies. Utilize specialized instructional techniques and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Valid special education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 settings. Practical experience delivering co-teaching models in elementary classrooms. Strong knowledge of disability categories, state and federal regulations, and best practices in special education. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster productive partnerships with educators, students, and families. Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
