The Green Meadow Elementary School is looking for a qualified Spanish teacher to work in our Spanish Immersion program, supporting grades K-3. Responsibilities: •Teach skills and knowledge in the instruction of Spanish to elementary school students through appropriate learning activities; •Develop lesson plans including supplementary materials and participate in curriculum and other developmental programs; •Provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student; •Develop student understanding and appreciation of culture of countries where Spanish is spoken; •Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needs to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment; •Communicate with parents and school counselors on students' progress; •Collaborate alongside classroom teachers to connect student learning through Spanish, where appropriate; •Fosters student interest in and understanding of the Spanish language; •Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee. Schedule: Full-Time, 183 School Days per Year Salary: Commensurate with education and experience based on the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
