Memorial Private School runs a standard Aug - May school year, and only accepts about 65 students in the whole school. You can see the outstanding colleges the students go to on our website, memorialprivateschool.com.
Our search criteria focuses on nurturing teachers with a high interest in innovation, energy and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed. The right candidate MUST have experience teaching high school Spanish, Levels I - IV. We have an excellent curriculum in use for many years and it is straight-forward to catch on, as well as to add continual innovation and updates. You must be able to teach through Spanish level 4.
The right candidate will be very dependable, long-term oriented and able to commit to the growth of the school. Classes are small, and you will be teaching to small groups as well as one-to-one to each student as needed. This job, in particular, requires prior experience of at least three years working in a school, and experience working in a growing environment. The candidate also needs to be a person who can be highly flexible, try new things, who loves working with others and loves outstanding customer service.
Memorial Private School's stand-alone school building is located in a beautiful area right next to a park in west Memorial, and surrounded by other schools. The majority of MPS students are typically between average to above average in intelligence, with good behavior. A limited number of children with learning differences and/or health concerns also thrive at this school. MPS is not equipped to accept students with behavior difficulties or substance abuse problems.
The whole school has a strong focus on research based learning, the neuroscience of learning, innovation in its infrastructure, and unique teaching techniques. MPS has excellent academics, including all AP courses along with an intentional low-stress atmosphere.
