MPMS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in counseling from an accredited college/university Valid Michigan School Guidance Counselor License At least two years experience as a guidance counselor in a culturally diverse community Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with at-risk students Preferred: Experience working with master schedules in a trimester setting Knowledge of the Michigan Merit Curriculum/high school graduation requirements Familiarity with PowerSchool is preferred Has demonstrated experience working with high school students and parents Has undergone a physical examination, by a licensed physician, that documents capability to perform required duties Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check
COMPENSATION: According to the negotiated Master Agreement with the Mt. Pleasant Education Association
