Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher for its Physics and seventh grade Life Science classes. The successful candidate will join a Science Department dedicated to hands-on, data-focused, and inquiry-driven learning, guiding students through data collection, analysis, and conclusion drawing. Science classes at MPH provide a foundation that prepares many of its graduates for careers in medicine, engineering, and scientific research while also prioritizing student well-being. MPH teachers foster an intellectually playful environment, build strong relationships with their students, respond creatively to their interests, and bring a joyful presence to the school.


The Physics curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year includes both a traditional general course and a college-level, calculus-based mechanics course for eleventh and twelfth graders. Seventh grade Life Science covers an introduction to the organization of living organisms, human body systems, and a student driven, authentic experiment and research project that culminates in a STEM Fair presentation. The school values candidates with an appreciation for the interdisciplinary nature of science, strong pedagogical skills, at least two years of relevant teaching experience, and a collaborative spirit.


Reporting to the Science Department Chair, the Science Teacher is a full-time, academic-year position. The annual salary range is $52,000 to $70,000 dependent on teaching expertise and expertise.
