Location: Area Learning Center, White Bear Lake, MN (High-Needs School) Science Teacher: Long Term Substitute

The White Bear Lake School District is currently seeking a long term substitute Science Teacher to work at White Bear Lake Area Learning Center. This position will support 10 - 12th grade students in an alternative setting. Courses to be taught are STEM Environmental Sustainability and Human Anatomy.

Salary Range: Per Teacher Salary Schedule

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than ten days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.

Date Range: 8/25/2025 - 10/28/2025

Work Week: 1.0 FTE (8:00 - am - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday)

Student Level: High School

Position Summary: Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. Occasional oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional or Volunteer.

Education and /or Experience: 1.0 FTE available at the high school level. MN Teaching Science License required.
