Speech-Language Pathologist Position K-12 School Setting in North Charleston, SC
A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with current CCC certification and School SLP credentials to support students in a K-12 educational environment. This full school year (CSY) role involves working directly with a diverse student population to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Monitor and report on student progress regularly
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation as needed
Qualifications/Experience:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
Valid School SLP license or certification appropriate for the state of South Carolina
Experience working with children in a K-12 school setting preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
Familiarity with IDEA and state special education regulations
Ability to manage caseload and work collaboratively with a school team
