This resource position will require either a School Counselor or Social Worker on Special Assignment (Behavioral Health) in Vista Unified School District. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting behavioral health services aligned with the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. This includes serving as a behavioral health expert and liaison to internal and external providers, overseeing billing and fee schedules, compliance with ethical standards, managing behavioral health data systems, training staff, and coordinating wellness spaces and mental health supports. The role involves managing contracts, licensure, and grant requirements, supporting crisis intervention, social-emotional learning, and assessments related to behavioral health, as well as collaborating with various district departments and community partners to enhance behavioral health services.
