Open Position: (1) SPECIAL EDUCATION RESOURCE ROOM TEACHER and TEACHER CONSULTANT- RR-Rainbow, TC - District-Wide As Needed - Posted Until Filled

SUMMARY

Looking for a dynamic teacher who will be responsible for working with special needs students. This is a split position. The Resource Room duties will be conducted at Rainbow Early Childhood Center and the Teacher Consultant duties will be conducted district-wide as needed.

COMPENSATION

The compensation is outlined in the CEA collective bargaining master agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Assess individual students to determine the most appropriate teaching strategies and develop a teaching plan, (Individual Development Plan - IDP). Achievement Testing as needed Facilitate IEPs Communicates with parents to discuss student progress Participates in curriculum development programs as required Attends staff meetings as required by the Building Principal Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Special Education. QUALIFICATIONS Certificate, license or other legal credential required Master's degree in a field of study related to special education 3 years of satisfactory teaching experience, not less than 2 years of teaching in a special education classroom Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable
