DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
4. Implements teacher lesson plans, assign student class work and homework.
5. Maintains classroom control and discipline.
6. Strives to develop rapport and serves as a positive role model for others.
7. Complies with all building procedures and schedules.
8. Completes evaluation form on every job assignment to communicate information related student behavior and work complete directly to the classroom teacher.
9. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
10. Takes precautions to ensure personal, staff, and student safety. Does not leave students unsupervised.
11. Reports evidence of suspected child abuse as required by law.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a minimum of State of Illinois Substitute Type 39 Certificate and governed by PA 97-0607.

WORK CALENDAR: 9 Months
WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
