Summary
As a Product Owner, you will be working with a growing team of Business Stakeholders, Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining the product roadmap, coordinating the development process, and being the voice of the customers for how they utilize the application.
Essential Functions Work as a liaison between the development team and the business stakeholders while keeping the product board up to date. Have extensive experience interacting with clients and end-users and ask the right questions to gather the essential information. Attend meetings with business stakeholders, advise on the capabilities of the software, and offer potential solutions to requirements provided by the business stakeholders. Experience with creating Epics and User Stories in clear and concise manner. Ability to develop test scenarios and cases for unit tests, integration tests, system tests and regression tests. Plan for and facilitate sprint planning sessions with the development teams. Provide demos of developed features to the end users. Execute projects with a distributed team structure. Ability to make a positive contribution to the team by learning new skills and making suggestions for process improvements. Competencies Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for product ownership. Ability to clearly articulate the product vision while providing enough details for Development teams. Excellent written and verbal skills. Should be able to articulate business functionality, suggestions for improvements. Extensive experience in requirement gathering, analysis and to ensure consistency, comprehensiveness of the requirements. Familiar and comfortable in dealing with evolving requirements and frequent changes in business needs. Elicits customer and stakeholder feedback on the quality and accuracy of delivered product features. A Self-starter and aligned to Agile way of thinking and working, a good team player. Ability to make a positive contribution to the team by learning new skills and making suggestions for process improvements. Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible and fast-changing high growth environment Education and Experience In Depth knowledge of agile software development process and principles is a must. Experience with Azure tools, SQL, NoSQL is a plus. Experience with process diagram tools. 3+ years previous experience as a product owner. Experience with QA Testing. Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field OR equivalent experience. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Requirements
This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
