Summary

Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool

Duties

Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. Prepare reports on students and activities as required by the administration. Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool programs. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Requirements

CDA certification in Preschool orAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or NYS Certification (Birth through Grade 2) 2 years of working experience in childcare, including at least 1 year in a lead teacher role.
