Summary: We're expanding and need Lead Infant Teachers, Lead Toddler Teachers, Lead Two Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Lead Three Teachers for our Athens, Watkinsville, North Oconee, and Bogart locations. In these roles, you will play a vital part in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in our preschool environment. Your contributions will help shape the future of our students and support their growth in a safe and engaging setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, social skills, and physical development.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote positive interactions among students.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Foster a love for learning through creative play, hands-on activities, and structured lessons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Associate's, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Direct teaching: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • DECAL-required Lead Teacher credential (Required)
