Description: Summary:
Teaches students spiritual, academic, social, relational, and physical skills in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Christian education of Williston Trinity Christian School by performing the following duties personally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares course objectives and outlines for course of study following the established school Curriculum Guide.
Integrates Biblical truths and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum.
Plans a program of study that as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Employs a variety of instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
Assesses the performance of students on a regular basis and provides progress and attendance reports as required.
Helps identify the giftedness or learning disabilities of students seeking the assistance of the Special Services Coordinator.
Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains proper discipline and order in the classroom and on the school premises.
Counsels pupils when behavioral and academic problems arise.
Keeps students, parents and the administration adequately informed of progress or deficiencies.
Evaluates and guides improvement of study methods and work habits for each student.

Spiritual
Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and has made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Williston Trinity Christian School.
Have a history of faithfully attending a Bible believing church.
Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and, 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry leadership position.
Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2: 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.

Requirements: Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma
(preferred) Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Early Elementary Education.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
(preferred) Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Educator’s Certificate
(preferred) North Dakota Educator's Certificate
