Job Category: Full-time, 9-month school year, salaried preschool classroom staff

Preferred Qualifications

Have a clear understanding of the Christian faith and possess the ability to share God's story with children Bachelor's degree in early child education or child development; Elementary Education with Kindergarten endorsement accepted (will consider other 4-year degrees depending on early childhood teaching experience) Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities Have time management and organizational skills, be self-motivated, reliable, positive, professional Expectations Comply with Minnesota Department of Human Services Rule 3 and other statutes Submit to and pass a background check through the Minnesota Department of Human Services Ensure the safety and well-being of each child Be a positive role model Maintain student/family confidentiality at all times Be CPR/AED and First Aid certified or willing to be obtained within 90 days of employment Be able to efficiently work with coworkers and have open communication with parents and families Must be comfortable working on computers and various apps, such as Office365, Brightwheel, etc. Have effective classroom management skills and be willing to learn Create lessons plans that focus on age-appropriate skill development Be able to kneel, bend, squat, sit on the floor to meet children's needs
