Summary
Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool is looking for a PART TIME Preschool Teacher for our 2 1/2 - 3 -year-old class for the 2025-2026 school year. Our 2 1/2 - 3-year-old class meets Monday through Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 noon . Our new hire will also have the option of working on Fridays with our 4–5-year-old children and possibly for our Lunch Bunch and Extended Day Programs. There is also an option to work at our Summer Camp.
We are hiring a teacher who is energetic, engaged, and enjoys exploring and discovering life with young children. All candidates must be able to sit and play on the floor, work at low tables, participate in large motor activities, carry children up to 40 pounds, and be physically able to carry out all duties and responsibilities of a teacher in the classroom.

Duties
Teachers Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for 2 1/2 - 3-year-old students. Create a nurturing learning environment. Manage classroom activities. Effectively communicate with young learners Effectively communicate with parents and other family members both in writing and verbally on a regular basis according to the needs of the children and the class as a whole. Continually adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Connecting with colleagues to further enhance the community experience for our families. • Assuring the safety and wellbeing of each child, adhering to all licensing requirements, school policies, and general common sense while working in the classroom each day. • Assuring the cleanliness and organization of the classroom to promote a positive learning experience for the students and the ability for all staff to work well together.
Our New Teacher will be responsible for building relationships with each child and creating the day-to-day curriculum based on our weekly and monthly themes, providing all activities, preparing art experiences and crafts, assuring that each child's physical, emotional, social, and academic needs are met.
All staff members are required to attend all staff meetings, Back to School Nights, Evening Trainings, and all additional staff required activities throughout the year, starting at the end of August through the second week of June.
Staff members are asked to facilitate the change from school to Summer Camp mid-June and may be asked to work the first week of camp, more if interested.
Requirements
TFCP requires all teachers of preschool classes to have or be working towards a teaching certificate with at least two years of experience in an Early Childhood Educational setting.
CPR/First Aid Certification is required and can be received after hire. All staff members must be able to respond to emergency medical situations and able to carry a child up to 45 pounds if needed.
Our New Teacher will be able to work with and supervise the Assistant Teacher and Co-oping family members as well as other staff members who are part of our school.
All Office of Licensing Requirements must be met including two background checks.
