Join Dundee Township Park District as a Preschool Teacher Aide in our Funshine Treehouse Preschool program! This part-time role is a fantastic opportunity to support preschoolers ages 35 in a nature-inspired, animal-filled learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth and early education in a nurturing, playful setting.

What Youll Do:

• Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
• Welcome and help children transition into the school day
• Support social-emotional and developmental learning through daily activities
• Adapt materials and teaching strategies to meet individual needs
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
• Help maintain classroom tidiness, safety, and materials
• Communicate with the teaching team and Supervisor regarding supplies, incidents, and progress
• Model respectful behavior and encourage cooperation among children
• Maintain regular updates and classroom communication through Homeroom
• Respond to accidents and complete necessary reports

What You Bring:

• Experience working with children ages 35
• A passion for early childhood development and creativity
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Ability to support a classroom in both learning and play
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Interest in a natural science and animal-focused environment

Schedule & Hours:

• Mid-August to Mid-May (approximately 9 months)
• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 am 3:15 pm
