Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a heart for early childhood education and experience implementing the ABEKA curriculum. This individual will be responsible for guiding young learners through structured activities, play-based learning, and foundational academics in a Christ-centered classroom.

Duties

  • Plan and implement daily lessons using the ABEKA curriculum.
  • Create a warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Foster spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Demonstrate Christian values and model appropriate behavior for students.


Requirements

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience in a preschool or kindergarten setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the ABEKA curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Angels Academy.

  • Experience with ABEKA Curriculum: Familiarity with ABEKA is a strong plus and can help ensure a smooth classroom transition.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Safety is a top priority, and certified staff bring added peace of mind.
  • Experience in Faith-Based Education: Comfort incorporating Bible lessons, prayer, and Christian values into the daily routine.
  • Early Childhood Education Certification: While not required, additional credentials can enhance teaching strategies and child development understanding.
  • Creative Arts Music Ability: Skills in music, storytelling, art, or drama to enhance classroom engagement.
  • Technology Comfort: Ability to use digital tools for lesson planning, communication, or classroom activities (e.g., tablets, smartboards, educational apps).
  • Strong Parent Communication Skills: Comfortable writing newsletters, holding parent conferences, and building positive relationships with families.
  • Positive Discipline Techniques: Familiarity with age-appropriate behavior management strategies rooted in patience and respect.
