As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the early development of children, guiding them through their formative years with engaging lessons and activities that promote learning and growth.
*Duties*
* Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with WV Early Learning Standards and cater to the diverse needs of students. * Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. * Utilize positive behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. * Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support child welfare and development. * Monitor student progress and provide individualized support as needed, including early intervention strategies for those requiring additional assistance. * Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience. * Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones. * Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
*Qualifications*
* *Hold a certification/endorsement in early certification/endorsement, specifically, a teaching certification/endorsement in early education ( also called early childhood education), Pre-K endorsement, Preschool Special Needs, or birth to five or permanent authorization as provided within West Virginia Board of Education Policy 2525, have the necessary criteria to obtain such.* * Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; or a * Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable. * Strong skills in classroom management and positive behavior management techniques. * Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including math and reading concepts suitable for preschool learners. * Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various learning styles and developmental needs following the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. * Commitment to providing high-quality education while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
