Clark College is currently seeking to fill part-time Teacher Education Adjunct Professor positions in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Teacher Education (BASTE) Department. This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach late afternoon, or evening hours. Position Responsibilities
Faculty Responsibilities:
- Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
- Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and/or college committees.
- Pursue professional development.
- Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
- Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
- Master's Degree in Elementary Education (K-8), K-12 Administration & Supervision, K-12 Curriculum & Instruction or a closely related field.
- Three (3) years of relevant K-12 teaching experience.
- Experience with online teaching modalities.
- Experience implementing culturally responsive pedagogy using multiple instructional methods, formats, and assessments.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Experience mentoring and/or supervising teacher candidates preferred.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
Supplemental Information
Salary: Lecture rate $93.18 hour, and lab rate is $79.59 hour. Application Process: Required online application materials include:
