Position Summary
HLA is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Special Education Teacher to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success of students with special needs. This position will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students receive individualized instruction and services in alignment with their IEP goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individualized instruction to students with disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify curriculum.
• Track and report student progress toward goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and student performance.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters preferred).
• Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education.
• Knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to HLAs mission and student success.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time (hours to be determined based on student needs)
• Competitive pay starting at $33.00/hr based on experience and qualifications.
