Appletree Preschool, in proud partnership with *North Arlington Public Schools*, provides a high-quality, state-funded preschool experience to local families. Our classrooms are academically rich, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured to support the whole child.
*Who We’re Looking For:*
A reliable, passionate, and experienced *NJ P-3 Certified Teacher* to lead our state preschool classroom. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values high standards, child-centered practices, and strong family partnerships.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with the *NJ Student Learning Standards (NJSLS)*
* Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom that supports each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth
* Supervise and guide Teacher Assistants and volunteers, ensuring smooth daily operations
* Build strong, ongoing relationships with families and service providers to support student development
* Monitor and document children’s progress; communicate regularly with families
* Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs
* Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment
* Follow all *health, safety, and sanitation protocols*
* Participate in professional development and required off-site trainings
*Requirements:*
* *Must have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.*
* *Must have a P3 certification or equivalent preschool qualification, as set forth at N.J.A.C. 6A:9B.*
* 1+ years experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
* Working knowledge and understanding of Creative Curriculum, preferred.
* Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
* Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
*Schedule:*
* Monday to Friday
* September through June, with Summer working oppurtunities
