St. Mark's School seeks candidates for the position of On-Call Substitute Teacher (Part-time). Though long-term coverage needs may arise, the usual commitment is for full or partial days, one or two days at a time.  This is an hourly, part-time position reporting to the Dean of Faculty and the current pay rate is $25/hour.

Specific duties, skills and competencies include:

following a teacher's lesson plan in the event of a planned absence overseeing classroom activity, providing support and assistance for students, and ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment demonstrating strong enthusiasm for working with adolescent students in many contexts outstanding task and time management skills with high attention to detail strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills success working with culturally diverse populations, as well as a commitment to building inclusive communities proficiency with computer applications such as Google Suite including Docs, Slides, and Sheets
