The Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School at the Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center Manhattan (MMJCCM) is a Reggio-inspired, Jewish-values-based, child-centered school where students are respected as citizens with powerful ideas and voices. Teachers facilitate learning by working collaboratively with children as researchers, guiding and following the interests of the group. We are looking for a Head and Associate teachers that share a belief in school community and progressive pedagogy. General Responsibilities Planning, teaching and documenting curriculum Working with teaching team and school administration to make sure each child's need are being met Preparing or helping to prepare for parent teacher conferences and other communications with families Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director or Associate Director as needed Job Requirements: Minimum requirement for Associate Teacher - Bachelor's Degree Minimum requirement for Head Teacher - Master's Degree in Education or a related field Open to learning about the Reggio Emilia Teaching philosophy Incorporating Jewish values into building curriculum Working collaboratively with a teaching team

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $45-$75K, with full benefits package.
