Summary
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and creative Per Diem Piano/Music Teacher to join our early childhood education team! This flexible, part-time position is ideal for an experienced music educator who loves working with young children and can bring energy, imagination, and joy to music sessions.
The instructor will lead engaging, age-appropriate music and movement activities primarily for our preschoolers (ages 3–5) twice weekly, while also designing musical experiences for infants and toddlers (6 months to 3 years) and facilitating fun, interactive music time with school-age children (ages 5–12) in our after-school program.
A strong ability to play and teach piano is essential, as the role will include introducing basic piano skills, technique, and creative keyboard play to young learners.

Duties
- Plan and lead dynamic music and movement sessions for children ages 6 months to 5 years, with a focus on our preschoolers.
- Teach introductory piano lessons in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way.
- Incorporate sing-alongs, rhythm games, movement, and creative musical play using piano as the primary instrument.
- Introduce children to foundational music concepts in a joyful, accessible manner.
- Facilitate interactive music sessions with school-age children (ages 5–12) in our after-school program.
- Collaborate with classroom staff to align music activities with seasonal themes or classroom topics.
- Create a fun, inclusive environment that nurtures each child's love of music.
Requirements
- Proficient piano player with experience teaching piano to young children.
- Background in music education, early childhood education, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with children ages 6 months to 12 years in a musical setting.
- Strong classroom management and child engagement skills.
- Energetic, patient, and playful teaching style.
- Flexible availability to work approximately two days per week.
- Reliable and punctual with excellent communication skills.
