Description

The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking a Music Teacher. Responsibilities include:

Conduct music lessons as assigned and scheduled for students with disabilities.

Independently develop and implement curriculum and assessments consistent with the NYS standards for music instruction.

Modify instruction to further develop student skills in language and engagement through music instruction.

Collaborate with team to facilitate cooperative learning and interdisciplinary skill building.

Requirements

New York State Department of Education Teacher Certification – Music.

Experience working with individuals with developmental/behavioral disabilities is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Salary: As per labor contract.
