Portledge School was founded in 1965 and is located on the beautiful North Shore of Long Island. Approximately fifty minutes (28 miles) from NYC by train, Portledge is nestled on a pastoral 63-acre tree-lined campus that is known for its cherry blossoms in spring. Enrolling approximately 500 students in grades PN-12, Portledge offers a competitive college preparatory program in a warm, inclusive community. Job Description:

Portledge School seeks to hire a dynamic Middle School Science Teacher who is driven to create a classroom environment where student learning is a non-negotiable goal and passion is evident on a daily basis. Responsibilities include teaching middle school science courses, including life science, physical science and earth science. The successful candidate will take part in actively evaluating and building the science curriculum, participating collegially in meetings, and taking an active role in the life of the school community. The position will report directly to the Middle School Division Head.

Compensation Range:

$70,000-$80,000
