QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate
Recent and relevant Montessori training
Preferences for ZA/ZS endorsements
CPR certified
Montessori based skill sets and philosophies are essential foundations for concepts including but not limited to instructional methodologies
Ability to work collaboratively with parents and staff
Responsible for Kindergarten instruction and oversee instruction for preschoolers
Program licensed through the Michigan Department of Human Services
DESCRIPTION: Valid Elementary Michigan Teacher Certificate AMA Montessori Credentials (Pre-Primary preferred)
Successful teaching experience (early childhood experience preferred)
The district is seeking a highly effective pre-primary and kindergarten teacher to work within the Messmore Montessori program
Willingness to embrace and advance the Montessori philosophies and instructional concepts is required
Classes are multi age - 3, 4, and 5-year-olds (Kindergarten)
The program is coordinated through Utica Community Schools Community Education Department and licensed by the Department of Human Services, Division of Child Day Care Licensing
Other duties as assigned
Current Montessori credentials are preferred; however, consideration will be given to those enrolled in an approved Montessori certification program this summer
