Salary: $25.00-$32.00 an hour About the Position We are seeking passionate, bilingual educators to join a dynamic dual language program serving middle school students in grades 68. These roles focus on delivering high-quality Social Studies or Science instruction in both English and Spanish, fostering academic excellence, biliteracy, and cultural understanding. Ideal candidates are skilled in content delivery, classroom management, and second language acquisition strategies, with a commitment to supporting diverse learners in a collaborative school environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies or Science lessons aligned with state standards and dual language program goals. Provide instruction in both English and Spanish, ensuring content mastery and language development. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of bilingual and multilingual learners. Collaborate with grade-level and dual language teams to support student success. Integrate culturally relevant materials and practices into instruction. Assess student learning and adjust instruction to support growth in content and language skills. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff in both languages. Qualifications Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate middle school endorsement in Social Studies or Science. Bilingual Education (Bilingual/ESL) endorsement required. Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written). Experience teaching in a dual language or bilingual program preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching. Schedule & Compensation Full-time, MondayFriday during the academic school year.
