Middle School Teacher (ELA endorsement or ELA/Math endorsement)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Elementary, middle school tor high school teaching experience.
- English Language Arts teaching experience.
- Math teaching experience.
- Both certifications preferred but not necessary
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or the equivalent.
- Current Michigan Teaching certificate.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience in differentiated instruction practices.
- Experience teaching with a digital curriculum platform.
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach sections of 6th grade Math/ 6th-8th Grade Literature and/or 6th grade English utilizing curriculum standards, providing high quality instruction for students through best practice strategies.
- Keep appropriate records of student progress, grades, etc.
- Communicates with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Responsible for one middle school homeroom and all related homeroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable and clean classroom environment.
- Actively manage classroom behavior and expectations.
- Performs all other necessary professional requirements such as maintaining an active teaching license, attending professional development, etc.
- Participate in all ELA and/or Math Department meetings
- Collaborate with Middle School teachers on social events, learning opportunities, field trips, etc. Participate in all Middle School Department meetings.
- Other duties as assigned
