- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Math endorsement.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
- Skilled in documenting student services provided.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively while meeting deadlines for paperwork.
- Prepare thoroughly for each class by developing annual plans, unit plans, syllabi, lesson plans, and grading assignments while maintaining communication with parents and students.
- Submit weekly lesson plans for review.
- Organize and lead parent-teacher conferences three times a year.
- Attend all faculty meetings to collaborate with staff.
- Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
