We are seeking an ESL Teacher to join our Middle School team. The ESL teacher will provide English language instruction to eligible learners in a combined push-in and pull out model and will support English Learners in their general education classrooms through direct support and consultation with classroom teachers in the 5th through 8th grades.

The qualified applicant will hold a Minnesota Teaching license in English as a Second Language, have a strong understanding of the WIDA Standards as well as theories and instructional practices for English Language Acquisition and Academic Language Development, possess the ability to develop rapport with learners of diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate an unyielding commitment to helping all students attain high academic and ethical standards of performance.

In addition, all teachers are supported in their professional growth through weekly PLCs, frequent observation and coaching. New teachers to Community of Peace Academy are assigned a Mentor Teacher who provides support and guidance during the first year of employment.
