Position Summary
The Math Teacher will work in collaboration with division directors, support staff, and faculty to create a Christ-centered, academically rigorous, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Planning
- Teach according to GA's established curriculum
- Translate course goals into age-appropriate, engaging lessons
- Design learning experiences that foster curiosity and growth
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Use varied assessment tools to evaluate student learning
Classroom Instruction
- Cultivate a love of learning
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Student Engagement
- Build a classroom culture of care, respect, and responsibility
- Model and enforce Christ-centered behavior and expectations
Parent Communication
- Provide timely, meaningful updates on student progress
- Respond promptly and graciously to parent inquiries
Professional Growth
- Stay current on research and instructional best practices
- Attend all faculty meetings, in-services, and professional development
Qualifications
Professional
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field (required)
- Prior teaching experience (preferred)
