Math Teacher Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field

• State teaching license for grades 6-12 with a math endorsement

• Completion of student teaching or supervised classroom experience

• Passing scores on required exams, such as Praxis or state-specific content tests

Math Teacher Responsibilities:

• • Deliver rigorous instruction in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics

  • Differentiate lessons to support varied learning styles and academic levels, including advanced and remedial students

  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and curriculum alignment across grade levels

  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and support staff regarding academic progress and classroom expectations

  • Integrate real-world applications and technology to enhance mathematical thinking and engagement

  • Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and departmental planning
